Wednesday June 9th- First Post

For my first post I want to give an overview of where I started, what I've been doing up until now and my overall goals.
I have been trying to lose weight for 4 years now. I would start and then give up over and over again.

Diet:
The most recent weight loss plan has been the most successful to date and I am still currently following it. I started following my plan in December of 09, when I started I weighed 225lbs. At first I focused on my diet, I'm following a very strict diet plan that basically consists of eating only protein and green vegetables( I will describe my diet in my next post). During the months of December 09 and January 10 I lost a total of 27lbs just by following the diet. I took a break from the diet in February and restarted my diet in March 10. When I started back up on the diet my weight was 200 (I gained a little bit back on vacation). Although I have been struggling with sticking to my diet since March, I have been able to make better choices in foods and eat things that have more nutritional value (ex: fruit for breakfast instead of cereal).
Exercise: I have developed a weight lifting routine 3 days a week and I have been sticking to the routine for 2.5 months. My strength and endurance has increased significantly in that time. I have also began to walk several days a week. All of my walks range anywhere from 2-4 miles and I usually walk 3-4 days a week.
Goals: My overall goal is to weigh 135lbs. Which means my total weight loss will be 90lbs. My current weight is 193lbs. This is the least I have weighed in 6-7 years and provided me with the motivation to continue my plan.
My next goal is 185lbs and I've set a deadline of July 31st 2010 to reach this goal.
